World's sexiest beaches

From Caprera Island to Motu Tane, Concierge.com has compiled the 2007 list of the world's sexiest beaches. I have to admit that although I'm a huge beach fan, I'm sad to say I've only been to two of these spots (Laguna Beach in S. California and South Beach in Miami) and both were a bit too crowded for my taste. My idea of a perfect beach is an island with a secluded cove and pinkish-white sand so soft it feels like baby powder on your bare feet, crystal-clear turquoise water that laps gently on the shoreline, clear blue skies, palm trees swaying gently in the breeze, scents of frangipane and coconut oil. All that, and a sarong-clad, tanned, muscular attendant pouring my drinks and peeling the occasional grape. That's not too much to ask for, is it? Check out the details on Concierge.com

I really need to get more vacation time.

Here's the list:
• Caprera Island
• Salvador
• Cousine Island
• Playa de los Lances
• Pink Sands Beach
• Kuta Beach
• South Beach
• Pigeon Point Beach
• Bodrum
• Santa Maria Beach
• Laguna Beach
• Ihuru Island
• Playa Tamarindo
• Paradise Beach
• Grande Plage
• Kaanapali Beach
• Cabo San Lucas
• The Similan Islands
• Motu Tane

Surprise, surpise. Sex sells!

Wall street is warming up to sex-related business. In this article from the New York Times Business pages, we read the following...

Times and investment tastes may be changing. Mr. Conru said that in recent months he had received more sustained interest, and follow-up calls, from potential investors. More generally, mainstream venture capitalists and private equity funds are starting to show interest in companies that make and distribute pornographic entertainment and sexually related products and services.

Several former Wall Street investors are now specializing in marrying mainstream money with companies that offer such content or products. Separately, a handful of venture capitalists have already financed start-ups that receive a big chunk of revenue from making or distributing sexual content or products, and others are considering such investments.

Jimmyjane, a San Francisco company that sells sex-related consumer products including high-end vibrators (a gold-plated one sells for $250), has six venture capitalists among its investors. The company’s chief executive said he was close to completing a $3 million to $5 million round of financing with one or more funds — not merely individual venture capitalists but marquee funds.

“It will be a watershed,” said Jimmyjane’s chief executive, Ethan Imboden, formerly a design consultant to Nike, Motorola and other mainstream brands. He said the deal could be among the first major venture fund investments in an overtly sexually themed business.

Could it be that America is finally starting to shed it's puritan past?

Blowjob Machine

Here's something I didn't see at the Adult Novelty Expo. This comes from Japan, is aptly named "Heaven" and can suck for hours! Boy, those Japanese are both kinky and creative. Don't know where to buy it yet, or if it's even available in the USA, but I'm thinking it'd be a great gift for any family-values Republicans you might know. It'd save them so much money on hookers.

Adult Novelty Expo

I recently spent a fun day at the Adult Novelty Expo (read: sex toy show) in Los Angeles where I saw thousands of the latest tools for self-pleasure and got to try out the amazing OhMiBod iPod activated vibrators. They are too cool for words. The one I tested was plugged into an iPod Nano playing a song by ultimate make-out king Barry White, and with each thump of the bass and swell in Barry's vocals the vibrator would rev up a little higher and...well you get the picture.

It's fantastic to see the many, many women who are bringing a whole different aesthetic to the adult novelty business and, indeed the toys themselves. Some fantastic designs and beautiful packaging will be coming to a sex toy store near you!
